I love ya Leslie, but

December 6, 2007

I don’t think I’ll ever set foot inside another Babies R Us again! That place is so backwards and it’s so hard to find stuff in there. I never ask for directions in any store I go to but I had to ask 4 or 5 different sales people where things were, and several mothers came up to ask me if I needed help. I have never felt so helpless before!

But I got you some fun stuff so yay!

But to say I didn’t when I was a kid is a lie. I was a Nickelodeon junkie. Do you remember any of these?

I Has a Sweet Potato

October 28, 2007

Last major harvest of the season:

And if you haven’t read “I Has a Sweet Potato” yet, please do.  It’s especially funny if you have pets.  http://littera-abactor.livejournal.com/7748.html

Get ’em Ren

I love WWTDD

I love my cats. They are beautiful, sweet and very loving. I have also learned that they have a Lassie complex.

This morning at 5 am, Cloud comes into the bedroom and starts in on a drone of WAAAAOOW++. When a Siamese cat is bitching at you, there’s no way to ignore it. Being that it was 5 and not 6:15, I ignored it, thinking he was probably thirsty and the water dish was empty.

Then again 15 minutes later. I ignore it again.

At 5:30a, Aeris comes in with her sweet little meows, but is equally loud to Cloud and she actually jumps on me and meows at my face. I pet her and shove her off, mumbling that I’ll fill the water dish in a half hour.

5:40a, Cloud comes in, starts bitching and also jumps on me and continues to yell in my face. I pet him and also tell him at 6 I’ll get up, just let me sleep a little longer so I can actually go to the gym tonight.

At 6a both of them jump on me and start yelling. At this point when two Siamese are screaming in your face, it’s time to get up and see what the deal is. I go to their water dish in the cat room and it’s not completely empty but it is kind of making a weird noise. I go to the kitchen for a big cup to fill and – lo and behold – the garage door is wide open. I was going to close it, but then I see something moving behind the glass storm door.

Zidane has been stuck outside in the garage for at least an hour, and the Siams were trying to tell me that he was stuck outside in the dark by himself.

This is after the fact that Cloud has previously come into the bedroom screaming at us and when we finally got up to see what it was, the dishwasher had leaked all over the kitchen floor.

Here is what they SHOULD have been doing at 5a.

I hate everything right now

January 15, 2007

Don’t you hate the kind of depression that makes you angsty at the entire world and you just want to sleep all damn day?  I put this under comedy and life because I lost what I’ve been calling “Dream House” by two days.  Fuck everything right now.  Ugh.

These girls are the only ones to show up for my birthday. Natalie on the left and Jen on the right. Natalie did bring her boyfriend so he counts too, but I don’t have a picture of him.

I’m pretty proud of Andy though. He took off Friday from work to set up this elaborate plan to make my birthday a good one. He came to my office while I was at lunch with the IS crew and decorated my office and brought me flowers and a cake plus a present (seasons one and two of House, wee!). The whole department knew about it, so that was pretty neat.

After work, we went to Rick’s Boatyard Cafe on west 38th. I had the best salmon dinner there and I love some seafood. Afterwards we went to Howl at the Moon where everyone was “supposed to” meet us for birthday celebrations but either no one showed up or other outstanding issues came up. Jennifer tried to catch a ride with Natalie, but after waiting at Howl for 2 hours, we decided to just meet Jen and Natalie in Broad Ripple. We went to Club 7 which totally sucked and charged $10 cover (what??) and where everyone in attendance was ruder than all belief. We decided to hit up the Vogue and maybe see my cousin Melissa at Peppers. I did see her outside Peppers and talked to her a bit, but after we were at the Vogue we were going to call it a night. We got Jennifer a gyro and us some beef hotdogs. After we watched some House and went to bed.

Pretty awesome birthday, blah. Thank you thank you thank you to Jennifer, Natalie and Dave for coming out for my birthday. Thank you for showing me who my friends are, and I love you both.

And special I love you to Andy for trying like fuck to make my birthday great. I really appreciate it babe. <3

Next year I’m going to sit at home and pet my cat all day of my birthday. I see it’s on a Saturday so I won’t even have to leave my house.

edit: I even bought some Steve Madden patent leather heeled shoes for this event and I feel pretty stupid that no one got to see them.
