Bush on Tuesday offered to let Karl Rove, Bush’s top political adviser, and former White House counsel Harriet Miers give unsworn, off-the-record testimony, saying lack of transcripts would prevent them from challenging any inconsistencies.
Um, ok, so the man who represents our country wants to let his people clear their name in private, but not on the record because there might be inconsistancies that might show that they were wrong and might have done something illegal. If there is no record of them saying it, they can’t be in trouble.
WHAT?
Why hasn’t this dude been impeached yet? Seriously, we had one president who liked to get his fuck on almost get kicked out, and another who breaks the law all the time and says he’s allowed to because of “executive privilege”, or in layman’s terms, “I can do whatever I want because I am the President of the United States and you can’t touch me nyah nyah,” and we just have to “wait it out” til his term is over.
/sigh
I hate this damn faith based conservative bullcrap in this country right now. And to top it all off, I heard this morning on NPR/Indiana Public Radio that the statehouse wants to put a ban on gay marriage in the Indiana Constitution.
Get the fuck over yourselves and let people marry whomever they want. Get your damn bible out of my life. You know, that whole separation of church and state thing – that’s not just for jokes.
